A Call to Action: Then and Now (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration)
On January 18, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. EST the Madam Walker Legacy Center and Indiana University will present "A Call to Action: Then and Now," a social justice virtual program with two of this nation's most prolific civil rights activists. Join us! Hear Angela Davis and Alicia Garza discuss activism "then" and "now" for civil rights, social justice, inclusion, and equality, offering pathways to build a world more reflective of Dr. King's dream.

Dr. Vicki Lott Presents: The Legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Greater Springfield Campaign Nonviolence and the Center for Social Justice at Western New England University School of Law are thrilled to welcome Dr. Vicki Vernon Lott for this event. Vicki is a member of the Pax Christi Anti-Racism Team and serves as co-chair of the social justice ministry at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Austin, TX. She is a trained facilitator of Racial Sobriety and is also a Racial Equity Consultant with Joyce James Consulting. Vicki is retired from a 32-year career in higher education administration at five historically black colleges and universities. She is passionate about addressing institutional racism in all of our systems. Since leaving academia, she has also worked as a trained advocate at the National Domestic Violence Hotline. The event is cosponsored by the WNEU Office of Diversity Programs and Services.
