Lebanon’s tensions and dangers reflect wider Arab troubles

September 15 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Lebanon has reached a decisive moment in its modern history. Rami Khouri will discuss the significant underlying dynamics within the country, prospects for a rebirth of the state and the citizen-government relationship, and how events in Lebanon link up with similar dynamics of poverty/wealth and good governance/corruption across much of the region.

Rami G. Khouri is Journalist-in-Residence and adjunct professor of journalism; Coordinator, AUB in NYC Briefings Initiative; and Senior Public Policy Fellow at the American University of Beirut. He is a Syndicated columnist with Agence Global Syndicate, USA, and a Nonresident Senior Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School.
