DESCRIPTION:Join the Western Mass chapter of SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) as we launch a local reparations campaign\, intended to educate people about the need for reparations and wealth redistribution. ***Scroll down for accessibility notes.*** \nAt this event\, you will have the opportunity to:\n–Learn about reparations at a national and local level\n–Work through thoughts and questions you may have\n–Commit to joining a movement to redistribute wealth for racial justice \nThis event is free\, and there is free parking on-site. Food and childcare will be provided. Please e-mail westernmasssurj@gmail.com for more information. \nShowing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) believes in collective liberation and that none of us can be free until we end white supremacy. Our role as a part of a multi-racial\, cross-class movement led by communities of color is to undermine white support for white supremacy. Free parking is available in the lot to the left of the building at 33 Hawley St\, and attendees can enter through the lower side door. WMSURJ requests that people wear no scented products.
